I Need Somebody…

Pondering in a little amazement God's self-appointed role* as helper to His loves. He promises, and He's faithful. Now where dat helper at?

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

Psalm 46:1-3

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 

Romans 8:26

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 

John 14:26

… [that you may know] what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might… 

Ephesians 1:19

So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?” 

Hebrews 13:6

*but really, aren’t all His roles self-appointed? Yes they are, bless Him.
